Recently, I watched the movie Julie and Julia and it got me thinking about blogs. I haven’t posted anything in awhile because I haven’t come across anything that I thought would be valuable for whoever may read Intermediately Versed, or in other words, my family. What can I say that would make a truly positive impact on the world? I’m just a teenager, I don’t really know anything.
No, I’m not going to turn this into a cooking blog. That would be a complete disaster. I’m just starting to ponder… what can I do that will benefit you? Why do people pay attention to things anyway? Some things are informative, others trigger emotions or contemplation. Nothing that would invoke any of these things has come to me in quite awhile and many of my posts have failed at that as well. Part of me wants to let it go, let Intermediately Versed collect dust in its current form, and maybe someday I will. But not just yet.
I’ve decided that the most valuable thing I have that I can share with you is an account of my creative experience. Stories about my own creative endeavors, what works and what doesn’t. And if you’re reading this, I hope it helps you at least a little bit.
There are so many experiences that I’ve lived through which have helped me understand many things about what it means to be creative, how to cultivate the best results, and what the best results really mean. I am learning, slowly but surely. I invite you to join me.
